CM Rekha Gupta Launches Free Dialysis & Thalassemia Services in Delhi
On Valmiki Jayanti, CM Rekha Gupta inaugurates Sewa Bharti Centre in Ashok Vihar to provide free healthcare for the underprivileged.

New Delhi, 7th Oct: On the occasion of Bhagwan Valmiki Jayanti, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the Free Dialysis and Thalassemia Testing Services at the Sewa Bharti Diagnostic & Dialysis Centre in Ashok Vihar, aiming to provide quality healthcare access to the underprivileged.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said, “To make India and Delhi healthy and developed, the government alone is not enough—every section of society must come forward and work together.” She lauded Sewa Bharti’s efforts in healthcare and urged citizens to participate in such community-driven initiatives.
Dr. Krishna Gopal, Sah Sarkaryawah of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), emphasized that the privileged must take responsibility for the health and social upliftment of the poor. He called for a united effort to make Delhi “anemia-free” within five years, stating, “It is our shared responsibility to make our nation healthy not just in body, but in spirit.”
The event was also attended by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Delhi.
Earlier, Mr. Sushil Gupta, General Secretary of Sewa Bharti, highlighted the organization’s healthcare initiatives, while Mr. Ashok Garg, President of Sewa Bharti Diagnostic & Dialysis Centre, said the initiative aims to extend free and quality healthcare to those who cannot afford it.
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister unveiled the statue of Late Shri V.K. Wadhera, lauding his contributions and social service, particularly his land donation for the centre. She also felicitated several social contributors for their outstanding community work.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sh. Ramesh Agarwal, President of Sewa Bharti Delhi Prant, who said, “Service is the essence of our organization, and every initiative of Sewa Bharti is dedicated to this spirit.” The event was chaired by Sh. Arun Bansal, Chairman of Bansal Wire.
