New Delhi, 30th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday welcomed US President Donald J. Trump’s announcement of a comprehensive peace plan to resolve the Gaza conflict.
Calling the proposal a “viable pathway” to long-term peace, security, and development, Modi said it offered hope not only for the Palestinian and Israeli people but also for the broader West Asian region.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister wrote, “We welcome President Donald J. Trump’s announcement of a comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict. It provides a viable pathway to long-term and sustainable peace, security and development for the Palestinian and Israeli people, as also for the larger West Asian region. We hope that all concerned will come together behind President Trump’s initiative and support this effort to end conflict and secure peace.”
The Indian Prime Minister also underscored the importance of unity among stakeholders, urging all concerned parties to rally behind the initiative to secure lasting peace.
President Trump’s plan, unveiled this week, has drawn global attention as nations weigh its potential to reshape dynamics in West Asia.
