World Food India 2025 Concludes with ₹1.02 Lakh Cr Investment Boost

New Delhi, 29th Sept: The four-day World Food India 2025 concluded at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, reinforcing India’s status as a global hub for food processing and agri-value chains.

Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi alongside Russian Deputy PM Dmitry Patrushev and Union Ministers Chirag Paswan, Prataprao Jadhav, and Ravneet Singh, the summit drew over 95,000 visitors, including policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators.

The event saw Memorandums of Understanding worth more than ₹1.02 lakh crore signed for the Indian food processing sector. The Prime Minister also released credit-linked subsidies of ₹2,518 crore to 26,000 beneficiaries under the PMFME scheme, boosting micro food enterprises.

Key highlights included over 10,500 B2B meetings, 261 government-to-government engagements, and 18,000 reverse buyer-seller sessions. A CEO Roundtable, co-chaired by Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Chirag Paswan, focused on sustainable investments, biodegradable packaging, blue economy potential, and transport reforms.

Delegations from Russia, Sri Lanka, Portugal, New Zealand, and several African nations discussed deeper cooperation, strengthening India’s role in global agri-food supply chains. More than 40 technical sessions addressed topics such as plant-based foods, nutraceuticals, food safety, and next-generation regulatory strategies.

Parallelly, the 24th India International Seafood Show spotlighted India’s seafood export potential with global buyers and policy initiatives for quality and safety.

World Food India 2025 showcased India’s agricultural diversity, rising consumer demand, and government incentives like 100% FDI and Mega Food Parks, setting a strong foundation for investment, sustainability, and innovation in the sector.
