Guwahati/Jharsuguda, 27th Sept: Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya Scindia today hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inauguration of the indigenous 4G stack and one lakh BSNL towers as a “historic milestone” in India’s digital journey.

Scindia said the indigenously developed 4G technology will connect “every corner of the country,” enabling people from all walks of life to benefit from seamless communication. “Whether it is a border peak in Ladakh, the first village of the Northeast, a Vibrant Village Programme settlement, or Left-Wing Extremism-affected districts, every area—including islands and the remotest villages of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand—will soon enjoy high-speed internet,” he stated.

The minister emphasised that the project aims to provide 100% mobile network saturation across all 6.4 lakh villages in India. “This connectivity will be a life-bridge,” Scindia said, highlighting its transformative impact: youths in Assam will access global knowledge, weavers in Arunachal Pradesh can tap international markets, farmers can directly link to mandis, and patients will consult doctors with a single click.

Scindia underscored that the swadeshi 4G stack exemplifies the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, ensuring that India not only consumes technology but also produces it for the world.
