“Clean Energy Mission Is a People’s Movement,” Says PM Modi

Banswara, 26th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development works worth over ₹1,22,100 crore in Banswara, Rajasthan, on the fourth day of Navratri.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi described the government’s clean energy mission as a people’s movement and highlighted initiatives that ensure tribal communities live with dignity and self-respect. He inaugurated solar energy projects, the Rajasthan Atomic Power Project, and flagged off three new trains, including a Vande Bharat service.

The Prime Minister emphasized India’s rapid growth in the power sector, announcing power projects worth over ₹90,000 crore across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. He lauded programs like PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and PM-KUSUM, which provide free electricity to households and farms, benefiting lakhs of citizens.

PM Modi also highlighted the government’s focus on tribal welfare, launching initiatives under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan and the PM Janman Yojana, aimed at improving the lives of over five crore tribal citizens. He underscored the success of the Van Dhan Yojana, linking forest produce to market access and ensuring record growth for tribal communities.

Citing GST reforms, the Prime Minister illustrated savings for ordinary citizens on essentials like food, footwear, motorcycles, and construction materials, noting a direct reduction in taxes compared to pre-2014 rates. He urged citizens to adopt swadeshi practices, asserting that buying local products strengthens national development.

PM Modi praised the development in South Rajasthan, criticizing previous governments for misgovernance and highlighting the current administration’s efforts to improve law and order, infrastructure, electricity, and healthcare.

The event saw the presence of Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagade, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, and Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, among other dignitaries.
