President Murmu Hails Artists at 64th National Art Exhibition

New Delhi, 24th Sept: President Droupadi Murmu today attended the award ceremony of the 64th National Exhibition of Art, organised by the Lalit Kala Akademi in New Delhi, and congratulated all the winners for their creative contributions.

The President said Indian tradition views art as a spiritual practice that enriches culture and fosters a more sensitive society. Praising the artists’ vision in depicting a “new India,” she noted that fair pricing of artworks is vital to support artists and encourage more people to take up art professionally.

Highlighting the Akademi’s efforts to promote art sales, President Murmu urged art lovers to buy and display Indian works, strengthening both the creative economy and India’s global cultural identity.
