Rajat Sharma Elected NBDA President for 2025–26

Board elects M.V. Shreyams Kumar as Vice President and Anuradha Prasad Shukla as Honorary Treasurer.

  • M.V. Shreyams Kumar to serve as Vice President; Anuradha Prasad Shukla appointed Honorary Treasurer.
  • Board includes senior executives from Network18, TV Today, Zee Media, ABP, Eenadu, NDTV, Sun TV, and Bennett Coleman.
  • Annie Joseph continues as Secretary General.

At its board meeting held on September 19, the News Broadcasters & Digital Association (NBDA) unanimously elected veteran journalist and India TV Chairman & Editor-in-Chief Rajat Sharma as President for the 2025–26 term.

The board also confirmed M.V. Shreyams Kumar, Managing Director of Mathrubhumi Printing & Publishing Co. Ltd., as Vice President, and Anuradha Prasad Shukla, Chairperson and Managing Director of News24 Broadcast India Ltd., as Honorary Treasurer for the same period.

Other members of the NBDA Board for 2025–26 include:

  • Kalli Purie Bhandal, Vice-Chairperson & Managing Director, TV Today Network Ltd.
  • Anil Kumar Malhotra, Advisor, Zee Media Corporation Ltd.
  • Dhruba Mukherjee, CEO, ABP Network Pvt. Ltd.
  • I. Venkat, Director, Eenadu Television Pvt. Ltd.
  • Rahul Kanwal, CEO & Editor-in-Chief, New Delhi Television Ltd.
  • Mahesh Kumar Rajaraman, Managing Director, Sun TV Network Ltd.
  • Rohit Gopakumar Velloli, CEO, TV Division, Bennett Coleman & Company Ltd.

Mrs. Annie Joseph will continue as Secretary General, ensuring continuity in the association’s operations.

The NBDA, India’s largest body of private television news and digital broadcasters, represents leading news networks and plays a key role in setting industry standards and advocating for media freedom.
