New Delhi, 19th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met a distinguished Sikh delegation that presented recommendations for the safekeeping and dignified display of the holy ‘Jore Sahib’—the sacred attire of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji.
Calling the relics “immensely sacred and invaluable,” the Prime Minister said they embody both Sikh history and India’s cultural ethos. “The holy relics will inspire future generations to follow the path of courage, righteousness, justice and social harmony shown by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji,” Mr. Modi said, responding to Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri’s message on X.
The delegation urged the government to ensure a befitting national display that reflects the spiritual and historical significance of the relics.
