Dhar, 17th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched a string of development initiatives in Dhar, including the foundation of India’s largest integrated textile park, while unveiling major health and welfare campaigns aimed at women, tribal communities and artisans.

Addressing a massive gathering, the Prime Minister invoked the courage of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and the historic Hyderabad Liberation Day, declaring, “Nothing surpasses the honour, pride and glory of Maa Bharti. This is a new India that fears no nuclear threats and strikes at the source of terror.”

Mr. Modi launched the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ campaign, offering free nationwide health screenings for women till October 2, and marked the start of the eighth National Nutrition Month. He also highlighted the government’s sickle cell anaemia mission, announcing the distribution of the one-croreth screening card in Madhya Pradesh.

The Prime Minister laid the foundation of the PM MITRA Park, envisioned to integrate the entire textile value chain “from Farm to Fibre, Fibre to Factory, Factory to Fashion and Fashion to Foreign”, creating three lakh jobs and reducing logistics costs.

Greeting artisans on Vishwakarma Jayanti, he praised the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, under which more than 30 lakh craftspeople have received training, modern tools and loans exceeding ₹4,000 crore. “Vishwakarma brothers and sisters are a major force behind Make in India,” he said, adding that those left behind remain the government’s top priority.

Reiterating his commitment to the poor, the Prime Minister said, “Service to the poor is the greatest purpose of my life. The nation progresses only when the poor progress.” He urged citizens to embrace Swadeshi this festive season, saying every Indian-made purchase strengthens the country’s economy and creates jobs.

Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Savitri Thakur were among the dignitaries present.
