India, Denmark Vow Stronger Green Ties in PMs’ Call

New Delhi, 16th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Danish counterpart Mette Frederiksen held a telephone conversation on Monday, reaffirming their commitment to deepen the India-Denmark Green Strategic Partnership.

The leaders discussed expanding cooperation in trade, investment, innovation, clean energy, water management, food processing and sustainable development. Modi extended best wishes for Denmark’s ongoing EU Council Presidency and its non-permanent UN Security Council membership.

Both leaders exchanged views on regional and global issues, with Modi reiterating India’s support for a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict. Frederiksen expressed Denmark’s strong backing for an early conclusion of the India-EU Free Trade Agreement and welcomed India’s upcoming AI Impact Summit in 2026.
