Patna, 11th Sept:
With the Bihar Assembly elections approaching, political activity has intensified across the state. While the ruling alliance and opposition parties are actively campaigning, controversy has erupted over the Opposition’s “Mai Bahin Yojana.” Reports suggest that forms are being distributed in rural areas under the scheme, promising women ₹2,500 assistance.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary slammed the Opposition’s move, warning of police action. “They haven’t even released a manifesto yet. How can they make such claims? Police will take action,” he said. Minister Vijay Chaudhary went a step further, branding the initiative as “fraud and deception.”

However, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav defended the form distribution, saying, “Why shouldn’t we collect forms?”

National Emblem Controversy
Samrat Chaudhary also spoke on the alleged desecration of the national emblem in Jammu and Kashmir, claiming that the Ashoka Pillar was insulted. “The Ashokan emblem is a matter of pride for Bihar and represents Magadh’s glorious history. But the Mahagathbandhan is trivializing it,” he said.

He accused the RJD, Congress, and Left of undermining national values, demanding action under anti-national laws against those “who mock India’s culture and national symbols.”

Attack on Lalu Yadav
Targeting RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Chaudhary said, “Democracy is shamed when a convicted criminal like Lalu hosts even a former Vice-Presidential candidate and ex-Supreme Court judge. If meeting Lalu Yadav itself is what remains of democracy, then democracy is truly in danger.”
