Shivpuri, 10th Sept: Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region and Guna MP Jyotiraditya M. Scindia today inaugurated and laid foundations for multiple power projects in Shivpuri district, providing a major boost to electricity supply in the region.

Scindia inaugurated the newly constructed ₹2.19 crore 33/11 KV sub-station at Garhetha and laid the foundation stone for three other proposed sub-stations at Chamarua (₹2.02 crore), Muhasa (₹2.68 crore), and Pipra (₹1.46 crore) in Pichhore constituency.

The projects are expected to benefit around 100 villages, ensuring stronger electricity supply for farmers, traders, and local residents. Scindia termed the initiative a step towards the government’s commitment to providing reliable power, saying, “These sub-stations will brighten lives for generations.”

During his address, Scindia remarked, “My name carries ‘Jyoti’, and I always bring light with me. These projects reflect the spirit of service and commitment to development.”

He further highlighted that under the Modi government, over 17,000 villages across India have been electrified for the first time since independence.
