New Delhi, 9th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a mega textile park in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district on September 17, coinciding with his 75th birthday. This will mark his second consecutive birthday visit to the state, underlining Madhya Pradesh’s growing role in the BJP’s political and development strategy.
The park is part of the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) scheme, aimed at creating world-class textile hubs to accelerate industrial growth, boost exports, and create employment. The upcoming facility is being developed at Bhensola village in Badnawar tehsil of Dhar district, according to official sources.
The BJP has announced that the Prime Minister’s birthday will be observed as Seva Parv (Festival of Service), with nationwide campaigns promoting community service, cleanliness drives, blood donation, and distribution of essential items to the underprivileged.
PM Modi’s birthdays have often been marked with landmark initiatives. In 2024, he launched a women-centric scheme in Bhubaneswar, while in 2023, he unveiled the PM Vishwakarma Yojana to empower artisans. In 2022, his birthday made global headlines with the release of cheetahs from Namibia into Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh.
In previous years, the Prime Minister has tied his birthday to service and symbolic events — from spearheading a mega vaccination drive during the pandemic in 2021 to addressing the Namami Narmada festival near the Statue of Unity in 2019.
The launch of the textile park in Dhar on his 75th birthday carries political and economic weight. It signals the BJP’s strategy of combining development milestones with moments of personal symbolism, reinforcing its message of Seva, Vikas, and Samarpan (Service, Development, and Dedication).
