Patna, 28th Aug:
With Bihar heading into assembly elections, politics may be heating up, but security agencies are gripped by a far more chilling reality. A confidential intelligence report has revealed that three dreaded Pakistani terrorists have infiltrated Bihar through Nepal, prompting the Police Headquarters (PHQ) to issue a statewide high alert.

According to intelligence inputs, the men linked to terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed slipped into Bihar after reaching Kathmandu earlier this month. Their entry has triggered panic across the state, particularly as the political atmosphere intensifies.

The infiltrators have been identified as:

  • Hasnain Ali, resident of Rawalpindi, Pakistan
  • Adil Hussain, resident of Umerkot, Pakistan
  • Mohammad Usman, resident of Bahawalpur, Pakistan

The PHQ has already circulated passport and identity details of the three suspects to district police chiefs, especially in border regions. Intelligence units have been directed to remain on high alert and track any suspicious movements.

Security Clampdown Across Bihar
Security forces have stepped up checks at railway stations, bus stands, and crowded marketplaces. Border districts adjoining Nepal — already a weak security point — are under heavy surveillance with intensified frisking and monitoring drives.

Intelligence sources have warned that the trio may be plotting a major terror strike anywhere in the country, with Bihar considered particularly sensitive due to the upcoming polls.

What makes the situation more tense is the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in Bihar for campaign rallies, further raising the security stakes.

Officials admit that the possibility of an attack to disrupt elections cannot be ruled out, and all security agencies have been asked to operate in top gear.
