PM Modi Launches Rs 12,000 Crore Development Projects in Gaya

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated multiple development projects worth Rs 12,000 crore in Gaya, Bihar. Addressing the public, he paid respects to Gaya ji, highlighting its spiritual and cultural significance as the site where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment.

Key Projects for Bihar’s Growth
The initiatives cover energy, healthcare, and urban development:

  • Energy: Buxar Thermal Power Plant inaugurated; new thermal power projects in Nabinagar and Pirpainti.
  • Healthcare: Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre in Muzaffarpur inaugurated.
  • Urban Development & Connectivity:
    • 8.15 km Aunta–Simaria bridge on NH-31, easing heavy vehicle traffic.
    • Four-lane Bakhtiyarpur–Mokama section of NH-31.
    • Sewerage Treatment Plants and Water Supply Projects across Aurangabad, Bodhgaya, Jehanabad, Munger, and Lakhisarai.
  • Railways: Flagged off Amrit Bharat Express (Gaya–Delhi) and Buddhist Circuit Train (Vaishali–Koderma).

Empowering Citizens & Employment

  • Over 38 lakh pucca houses constructed in Bihar under PMAY; 2 lakh families in Gaya have received homes.
  • Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana announced to support youth employment with ₹15,000 incentive for first private-sector jobs.
  • Industrial hubs in Dobhi and technology centers to boost local employment.

Operation Sindoor & National Security
PM Modi reiterated India’s strong stance on terrorism and national security, citing Operation Sindoor as a game-changer in defense strategy, emphasizing that all infiltrators will be expelled.

Good Governance & Anti-Corruption Drive
The Prime Minister criticized opposition parties for past mismanagement and corruption, highlighting the new stringent anti-corruption law to hold even Chief Ministers, Ministers, and the Prime Minister accountable if jailed for serious offences.

Farewell to Lantern Era, Path to Development

PM Modi contrasted current progress with Bihar’s earlier hardships, citing red terror, lack of infrastructure, and mass migration during the “lantern regime.” He stressed rapid development as a priority for both the Central and State governments.
