Patna, 19th Aug: Political activity in Bihar has intensified ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, with various parties actively engaged in campaigning. In this charged atmosphere, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav are jointly holding a “Voter Adhikar Yatra” (Voter Rights March) across the state.
Addressing a rally in Nawada on Tuesday, Tejashwi Yadav made a direct appeal to the people of Bihar. “We have to uproot the NDA government in Bihar,” he said, adding, “In the next Lok Sabha elections, we will make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister.”
Tejashwi Yadav also criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, claiming his “uncle” is now in an “unconscious state” and unable to manage the state. He accused the government of being a “copycat” that has ignored key needs in education, health, employment, irrigation, and accountability.
The Congress’s “Voter Adhikar Yatra,” organized in protest against the Election Commission’s voter list revision, will pass through several districts before concluding with a rally in Patna on September 1.
