New Delhi, 17th Aug: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, has extended his congratulations to Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan on being nominated as the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) candidate for the upcoming vice presidential election.

In a post on social media platform X, Shah highlighted Radhakrishnan’s extensive experience in public life, noting his contributions both as a parliamentarian and as governor of different states.

“Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan Ji’s roles as a parliamentarian and as governor of different states have played a vital role in effectively fulfilling the constitutional duties. I am sure his vast experience and wisdom will enhance the prestige of the Upper House and achieve new milestones,” Shah wrote.

He also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and members of the BJP Parliamentary Board for finalizing the decision.

The announcement positions Radhakrishnan as the NDA’s choice to succeed Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, whose term is set to conclude later this year.
