New Delhi, 16th Aug: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has thanked world leaders for their greetings and wishes on India’s 79th Independence Day. In a series of responses posted on X, he acknowledged the messages from several heads of state and government, reaffirming India’s commitment to its bilateral relationships.
Responding to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Prime Minister stated, “Thank you President Zelenskyy for your warm greetings. I deeply value the joint commitment to forging even closer ties between India and Ukraine. We earnestly wish our friends in Ukraine a future marked by peace, progress and prosperity.”
In a message to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, PM Modi expressed his gratitude, saying, “May India-Israel friendship continue to flourish…may both countries further strengthen and deepen this relationship bringing peace, development as well as security to our people.”
The Prime Minister also thanked French President Emmanuel Macron, calling him a “friend” and emphasizing the value of the strategic partnership between India and France. Similarly, in his response to the leaders of Mauritius and Bhutan, he highlighted the importance of their “strategic partnership” and “bonds of friendship.”
