Bhopal, 11th Aug: A controversy has erupted in the capital city of Madhya Pradesh after a viral video surfaced from the Misrod area, allegedly showing an act of “Thook Jihad.” The video, which has been widely shared, shows a man appearing to spit into a bottle before handing it to a fruit vendor who then uses the bottle to sprinkle water on his produce.
Following the circulation of the video, Hindu organizations gathered at the Misrod police station and in front of the fruit stall to protest. With slogans like “Thook Jihad will not work, Jai Shri Ram,” the groups voiced their anger, claiming that such incidents are part of a larger conspiracy to poison society. They submitted a memorandum to the police, demanding stringent punishment for those responsible.
Taking cognizance of the video, the Misrod police have launched an investigation. While the exact time and date of the video are yet to be determined, the location of the fruit stall has been confirmed. Police officials have detained two shopkeepers from the stall for questioning and have assured the protesters that a full investigation is underway.
