New Delhi, 8th Aug: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday held an interaction with a delegation from the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) at Nirvachan Sadan in New Delhi. The delegation, led by the party’s Vice President, A.K. Bajpayee, presented its suggestions and concerns to the Commission.
The meeting was attended by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioners Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr. Vivek Joshi.
This interaction is part of a broader initiative by the ECI to engage with presidents and authorized representatives of various national and state political parties. The initiative is aimed at fostering constructive discussions to further strengthen the electoral process within the existing legal framework.
According to the ECI, this initiative provides a platform for parties to share their suggestions and concerns directly with the Commission. In the past 150 days, the ECI has conducted a total of 4,719 all-party meetings at various levels, engaging more than 28,000 representatives from different political parties across the country.
