J&K Kabaddi Association Organizes Referee Course in Srinagar

Initiative Aims to Elevate Officiating Standards Across the Union Territory and Beyond.

Jammu, 29th July: The Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association, under the leadership of President Anil Gupta, is undertaking a significant initiative to bolster the standard of Kabaddi officiating within the Union Territory. Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, General Secretary of the Association, who also serves as the Technical Director of the Asian Kabaddi Federation, is spearheading these efforts.

A UT-Level Kabaddi Referee Course is set to be organized in Srinagar, Kashmir, from July 28 to July 31, 2025. Approximately 100 officials are expected to participate in this comprehensive training program. The sessions will be conducted by esteemed technical officials, including Mr. Rana Ranjeet Singh from Bihar and Ms. Dhanashree from Maharashtra, who will impart their expertise and experience to enhance the skills of local referees.

In a move to further uplift officiating standards, Dr. Gupta has also formally requested the Director General, Youth Services and Sports, to depute officials from the department to attend the course. This initiative is anticipated to yield substantial benefits for officiating not only at the UT level but also for national-level competitions, including departmental tournaments, private competitions, and All India Police Meets conducted across various platforms.
