UNITED NATIONS -UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said on Monday that at least 20 people were killed and 120 injured in Ukraine as of Friday.
OCHA noted that the most severe attacks occurred in the Sumy region where a civilian bus was hit, killed 3 women over the age of 65 and injured 19 others.
Sumy also experienced electricity outages as a result of the attacks, OCHA stated.
It added that 6,574 killed in the first half of 2025 and 5,000 long-range munitions launched by Russia in July alone.
WHO said that residential buildings, shops and schools were hit across the border region this weekend, damaged structures which civilians rely upon for their livelyhoods.
The agency noted that a hospital in Kharkiv was also hit on Friday.
OCHA reported that to support families and people impacted by the attacks, aid workers delivered assistance in the form of shelter materials and psychosocial support.
They also helped with repairs to some structures.
UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq told reporters in New York that “Aid workers continue to coordinate with local organizations to support the most vulnerable people in the Sumy region”.
