Teen Girl Brutally Murdered in MP Hospital as Bystanders Look On

Narsinghpur, 1st July: In a horrifying incident that has exposed glaring lapses in hospital security and public safety, a 19-year-old girl was brutally murdered inside the emergency wing of the government district hospital in Narsinghpur on June 27, as onlookers, including hospital staff, failed to intervene.

The victim, Sandhya Chaudhary, a Class 12 student, was attacked in full public view by Abhishek Koshti, a man reportedly obsessed with her. In chilling footage that surfaced on Monday, the accused is seen slapping Sandhya, pinning her to the ground, and slitting her throat — all while hospital staff and visitors watch in stunned silence.

Grim Attack Caught on Camera
The attack took place inside the hospital’s trauma ward and lasted approximately 10 minutes. Despite the presence of two security guards outside and multiple staff members inside, no one attempted to stop the assailant.

After murdering Sandhya, Koshti attempted to slit his own throat but failed. He then fled the hospital premises on a motorcycle parked outside and remains at large.

Hospital Turned Crime Scene
Sandhya had reportedly told her family that she was visiting a friend’s relative in the maternity ward. The accused, who had been loitering around the hospital since noon, was allegedly waiting for her. The two spoke briefly before the confrontation turned deadly.

Shockingly, even after the murder, Sandhya’s body remained at the crime scene when her family arrived around 3:30 pm. Overwhelmed with grief and anger, the family staged a road blockade outside the hospital that lasted late into the night. Authorities managed to calm the situation only after assuring strict action against those responsible for the security failure.

Public Outrage and Fear
The gruesome act sent shockwaves through the hospital. Of the 11 patients admitted in the trauma ward, eight were discharged the same day, and the remaining left the following morning, fearing for their safety.

This tragic incident has ignited widespread outrage, with citizens and activists demanding accountability from hospital authorities and law enforcement. The complete breakdown of basic security protocol in a public hospital has also raised serious questions about the safety of women in government institutions.

The Madhya Pradesh government is under pressure to act swiftly, as the incident continues to stir protests and calls for justice across the state.
