Viksit Bharat@2047 Conclave at Scottish Parliament to Focus India’s Global Vision of PM Modi with Indian Diaspora & All

Edinburgh, UK, 24th June: The historic Edinburgh City Chambers will host the Viksit Bharat @2047 Conclave from June 25-27, bringing together a distinguished array of Indian and international leaders, diaspora members, scholars, and policymakers. The event is aimed at discussing India’s long-term developmental roadmap under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, focusing on building a developed nation by the centenary of independence in 2047.
The day-long conclave will begin with an inaugural session featuring a ceremonial lamp lighting and blessings from Sadguru Archna Didi, followed by welcome speeches by Rashmi Rai Mantha, UK Convenor of Viksit Bharat @2047; Kuldeep S Shekhawat (OFBJP UK & Europe); former MP Martyn Day; Scottish Parliamentarian Gordon MacDonald; and Consul General Siddharth Malik. The introductory address will be delivered by Dr. Kumar Rakesh, outlining the vision and scope of the Viksit Bharat @2047 campaign.
A series of inaugural speeches will follow from Lord Rami Ranger, BJP MP Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, and Robert Masih Nahar, former Senator from Spain. Former Union Minister Pratima Bhoumik, Dr. Niranjan K Verma of Panchgavya Vidyapeetham, Goa Tourism Development Corporation Chair Ganesh Gaonkar, Dr. Mani K Sharma (former Sikkim Minister), Dr. Sandeep Marwah of Marwah Studios, and industry leaders Poonam Gupta, Puneet Gupta, and Garima Poddar will also share their views.
The conclave will then transition into six thematic roundtable sessions covering a wide spectrum of national development issues. The first session, Good Governance & the World, will feature discussions on climate change and public policy, chaired by Rajyavardhan Rathore, Lord Rami Ranger, Gordon MacDonald, and Baroness Sandip Verma. It will be followed by sessions on Spirituality, Hindutva & Global Peace and Cownomics, Panchagavya Siddha & AYUSH, highlighting India’s cultural and traditional knowledge systems as a tool for global wellness.

Subsequent panels will explore Tourism & Culture, chaired by GTDC’s Ganesh Gaonkar, and Media & Communications, bringing together voices from journalism, healthcare, law, and education. The final discussion, Youth & Women Empowerment, will feature emerging voices working for inclusive progress. Each session will be moderated by leading thinkers, including Rashmi Rai Mantha, Nidhin Chand, and Kumar Rakesh.
