President Murmu’s Three-Day Visit to Uttarakhand Begins Today

Dehradun, 19th June: President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a three-day visit to Uttarakhand from June 19 to 21, 2025. During her stay in Dehradun, the President will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for several development projects, with a focus on public engagement and inclusive development.

On June 19, the President will begin her official engagements by inaugurating an amphitheatre and laying foundation stones for staff quarters, stables, and barracks at Rashtrapati Niketan.

The following day, June 20, President Murmu will officially open Rashtrapati Niketan for public visits and inaugurate a Visitor Facilitation Centre, Cafeteria, and Souvenir Shop. She will also inaugurate Rashtrapati Tapovan and lay the foundation stone for Rashtrapati Udyan, both of which will be open to the public from June 24, 2025.

Continuing her itinerary on the same day, the President will visit the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities in Dehradun. There, she will witness an exhibition, tour the Model School Science Lab, and interact with students.

Later that evening, she will release a postage stamp commemorating 125 years of Raj Bhavan, Nainital, marking a milestone in the state’s administrative history.

On June 21, to mark International Yoga Day, President Murmu will participate in a mass yoga demonstration at the Uttarakhand State Police Line Maidan in Dehradun.
