New Delhi, 8th June: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday lauded the growing role of women in shaping a developed India, stating that “Nari Shakti is actively participating in the resolution of a Viksit Bharat and setting examples across sectors.”
In a series of posts on social media platform X, the Prime Minister reflected on the transformative journey of women over the past 11 years under the NDA government, asserting that the focus has remained firmly on women-led development.
“Our mothers, sisters and daughters have seen times of great struggle. But today, they are not only participating in India’s progress, they are also setting benchmarks in education, business and beyond,” PM Modi wrote, calling their success stories a source of national pride.
He emphasized that women-centric initiatives such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (ensuring dignity), Jan Dhan Yojana (financial inclusion), and Ujjwala Yojana (providing smoke-free kitchens) have played a crucial role in empowering women at the grassroots level.
The Prime Minister also pointed to MUDRA loans for women entrepreneurs and PM Awas Yojana, which has led to millions of homes being registered in women’s names, as landmark reforms that have strengthened financial independence and security for women.
Highlighting the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign, Modi described it as a national movement to protect and promote the girl child. He further noted the rising participation of women in fields such as science, education, sports, StartUps, and the armed forces.
“In every domain, women are excelling and inspiring the nation,” PM Modi declared, underlining the success of the NDA government’s approach in placing Nari Shakti at the core of policy and progress.
The Prime Minister’s remarks come as the NDA celebrates #11YearsOfSashaktNari, marking over a decade of governance aimed at inclusive and gender-responsive development.
