Bhopal, 6th June: In a late-night administrative reshuffle on Wednesday, the Madhya Pradesh government transferred seven IPS officers, including two Superintendents of Police (SP), and one officer from the State Police Service (SPS).
The order reversing the recent appointment of Chandrashekhar Solanki as Inspector General (IG) of Sagar—announced just four days ago—was among the key changes. Solanki will continue in his current position as IG of Special Armed Force (SAF) Indore Range.
Key Transfers Announced:
- Himani Khanna, previously IG (Women Safety), Police Headquarters, has been appointed as the new IG of Sagar Zone.
- Sunil Kumar Pandey, DIG (Administration), Police Headquarters, has been appointed as DIG of Sagar.
- D. Kalyan Chakravarty has been transferred from DIG, Police Headquarters, to DIG, Chhindwara Range.
- Nagendra Singh, previously SP of Balaghat, has been appointed as Commandant, 25th Battalion SAF, Bhopal.
- Amit Tolani, Commandant of 24th Battalion SAF, Ratlam, has been posted as the new SP of Rajgarh.
- Aditya Mishra, SP of Rajgarh, has been transferred to serve as SP of Balaghat.
- Sonali Dubey, Additional SP of Jabalpur, has been promoted and posted as AIG, Police Headquarters.
The reshuffle is being seen as part of ongoing administrative streamlining in the state police department.
