New Delhi, 9th June. Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi delivered a motivational address to his ministers-designate ahead of their swearing-in ceremony on Sunday. Emphasizing humility, integrity, and transparency, Modi urged the incoming ministers to rise to the expectations of the public.
In a meeting held at his residence, Modi stressed the importance of humility, noting, “Whatever work will be assigned to you, do that sincerely and be humble as people love those who are humble.” He highlighted the high expectations of the people and the necessity for all ministers to deliver effectively, sources said.
Modi, who will be taking the oath for his third consecutive term as Prime Minister along with his council members, conveyed the need for respect and dignity towards all MPs, regardless of their party affiliations, acknowledging that each was elected by the people.
He also emphasized the importance of maintaining courtesy and respect towards government employees and officers. “Work as a team and with team spirit … You can’t compromise on probity and transparency. Be mindful of that,” he stated during the tea meeting, a tradition he has maintained since 2014 before the Cabinet formation exercise.
Senior BJP leaders including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Nirmala Sitharaman, and Mansukh Mandaviya were present at the gathering.
Among the new faces likely to be inducted into the Council of Ministers were Manohar Lal Khattar, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and Ravneet Singh Bittu, who also attended the meeting.
