New Delhi, 5th April.
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has emphasized the critical juncture at which India finds itself and urged citizens to discern between those who contribute to nation-building and those who detract from it.

In a Hindi post on social media platform X, Gandhi underscored the significance of the upcoming elections, stressing that the future of the country lies in the hands of its people. He called upon voters to deliberate, comprehend, and then make informed decisions.

Gandhi highlighted the pivotal moment India is facing, urging every segment of society to distinguish between those who contribute to the nation’s development and those who undermine it.

Enumerating the promises of the Congress and the INDIA bloc, Gandhi emphasized initiatives such as ensuring the first job for youth, guaranteeing minimum support price (MSP) for farmers, empowering economically disadvantaged women, providing a minimum wage of ₹400 per day for workers, conducting a caste census and economic survey, and safeguarding the constitution and citizens’ rights.

Contrasting this with the BJP’s purported agenda, Gandhi depicted a vision of confirmed unemployment, mounting debt for farmers, women lacking safety and rights, exploitation of laborers, discrimination against the underprivileged, and a semblance of dictatorship rather than democracy.

Concluding his message, Gandhi reiterated the importance of citizens’ decisions, urging them to contemplate, comprehend, and choose wisely. The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be conducted in seven phases, commencing on April 19, with the counting of votes slated for June 4.
