The BJP’s NDA government has emerged as a force in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this Parliament session, all the opposition parties, including Congress, devised numerous strategies to subdue the Bharatiya Janata Party. However, Modi’s arrows relentlessly pierced them one after another, leaving the opposition without a viable alternative. Moreover, in the absence of any response to poverty and unemployment across the country, she has once again initiated the farmers’ movement. Andolan Jivi has once again become active in the name of the farmers’ movement. The objective of the opposition is to ensure that peace in the country is not restored at any cost. His aim will now be to prove that the Modi government is anti-farmer and is not concerned about the farmers.

The challenges faced by farmers have consistently remained constant

Since independence, the problem of farmers has always existed in some form or another in independent India. Despite all the efforts of the Central and State governments, the problems of today’s farmers have not been resolved. It is sometimes apparent that, even if everything is given to them for free, there will still be a large number of farmers whose complaints cannot be addressed. This time, the banner of the United Kisan Morcha is absent, however, numerous farmer associations from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh have presented their primary demands. Some of its demands appear reasonable; however, upon further examination, it becomes apparent that the fulfillment of certain demands is beyond the purview of any government. Therefore, it is a question of why there is a significant effort being made to fulfill them. He is devoted.

Farmers are demanding these from the government

Farmer organizations are requesting a waiver of agricultural loans this time. Furthermore, their demand is to exempt all farmers from receiving government and non-government loans. They are asking to avoid the pollution law. They are exerting pressure on the government to implement a pension scheme for farmers who are over the age of 58 years, with the aim of providing them with a monthly pension of Rs 10,000. A demand exists for cancellation of the cases against farmers against whom cases were registered in the farmers movement of the year 2021-22. From the Central Government, farmers demand that the families of farmers who died in the last movement be compensated and one member be given a job. Farmers’ leaders are also urging the implementation of the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission. Also, there is talk of making a law regarding the minimum support price. A request has been made to the Central Government to enhance the quality of seeds for all crops, including cotton, by amending the Farmers Pesticide, Seed and Fertilizer Act.

Many demands are beyond the government’s ability to fulfill

If one were to carefully examine the demands made by the farmers, it will be evident that a significant number of them are of such a nature that they cannot be fulfilled by the government. Although these farmer leaders may be in power, they will not fulfill many of these demands. For instance, the waiver of all types of loans. Indeed, it is plausible that the loan may not be repaid if consumed after taking a loan and indulging in ghee. Every farmer in the country is demanding a monthly pension of Rs 10,000. This demand is of a similar nature and cannot be fulfilled by any government. A futile request of these farmer organizations is to provide compensation and jobs to the family members of all those who died during the last movement.

Staying out of the pollution law

One such demand is to stay out of the pollution law. This year, the bursting of firecrackers was also restricted on Diwali, thereby reducing air pollution. However, media reports revealed that farmers from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh were contributing to the pollution of the entire NCR and the surrounding environment by burning stubble. He was thrown into the flames. Many respiratory diseases have been the result of this pollution, due to which many people have lost their lives. However, these farmer organizations are adamant on keeping themselves out of the pollution law, so that some farmers continue to commit crimes and that someone else will do the same. Their culinary skills are also exceptional; why not indulge in them? He is a food provider, a farmer, and by cultivating food in the fields, he provides sustenance to the common man of India. Therefore, it is imperative that he be exempted from any air pollution-related crimes related to his farming. Whether or not he is granted a pardon is a matter for the discretion of the public.

The Modi government is being criticized for its anti-farmer policies

Indeed, certain demands of the farmers are acceptable and the Modi government ought to demonstrate seriousness towards them. In some cases, the government has even consented to fulfill them. However, upon observing the resoluteness of these farmer organizations in fulfilling all the demands, it appears that the farmer movement that is currently underway may not have garnered the support of all the farmer organizations, as numerous other farmer organizations are cognizant of this matter. It is known that this time, many of the demands being made from the government are such that it is not possible to fulfill them. This movement is only intended to make the Modi government anti-farmer. As soon as the ministers of the Modi government decline to comply with these demands, it will be a straightforward matter to accuse them of being anti-farmers prior to the Lok Sabha elections.
