PM Modi and Sheikh Al Maktoum Hold Productive Bilateral Cooperation Meet

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, Defence Minister, and the Ruler of Dubai, engaged in a productive meeting on February 14, 2024, in Dubai, where they discussed various facets of bilateral cooperation between India and the UAE.

During the meeting, the leaders delved into several areas of mutual interest, spanning trade, investment, technology, space, education, and people-to-people ties.

They expressed their contentment at the burgeoning economic and commercial relations between their respective countries, highlighting the significant role played by the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement and the recent signing of the Bilateral Investment Treaty.

Prime Minister Modi extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his benevolence towards the Indian community residing in Dubai. Both leaders recognized the invaluable contributions of the Indian Diaspora in transforming Dubai into a global hub for trade, services, and tourism.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid for allocating land for the establishment of an Indian Community Hospital in Dubai. This initiative aims to provide accessible healthcare services to Indian blue-collar workers, emphasizing the commitment to their well-being.

In a cordial gesture, Prime Minister Modi extended an invitation to Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to visit India at his earliest convenience, further fostering the strong bond between the two nations.
