Jaipur, 13th Feb. In a decisive move towards maintaining the integrity of community-police relations in Rajasthan, officials have announced stringent measures against Community Liaison Group (CLG) members found to be engaged in political, unwanted, or criminal activities.
According to an order issued by Additional Director General of Police (Community Policing) BL Meena, certain CLG members were found to be embroiled in such activities during surprise inspections of police stations across various districts of the state.
The CLG, established for fostering mutual cooperation and coordination between the public and the police to uphold peace and harmony in society, has been marred by the involvement of certain members in activities detrimental to its objectives.
In response, police headquarters has taken a firm stance, directing officers across all ranges and districts to promptly terminate the memberships of ineligible CLG members and replace them with qualified individuals.
Furthermore, all police officers have been instructed to convene meetings of CLG members in every police station of their respective districts. These meetings are mandated to occur in the second week of every month, with provisions for rescheduling to the third week if necessary.
