Ahmedabad, 13th Feb. Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah inaugurated the Naranarayan Shastri Institute of Technology (NSIT) in Jetalpur, Ahmedabad, on Monday.
In his address, Amit Shah praised the transformative impact of Swaminarayan Bhagwan on education in Jetalpur village and Kalupur Gadi Sanstha.
Highlighting the educational endeavors of the Swaminarayan sect, Shah emphasized their contribution to literacy in Gujarat and their efforts in providing education to tribal, Dalit, and economically disadvantaged students.
He hailed the establishment of NSIT and Forensic Science University as significant milestones in Jetalpur’s educational landscape.
Underlining the importance of forensic science education, Shri Shah announced the introduction of B.Sc. Forensic Science, M.Sc. Forensic Science, M.Sc. Cyber Security, and integrated courses in Digital Forensics at NSIT. He expressed confidence that Jetalpur would emerge as a center for forensic science studies in Gujarat.
Reflecting on the government’s efforts to overhaul the legal system, Shah highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to modernize laws and promote justice.
He underscored the role of forensic science in the new legal framework, emphasizing the need for trained forensic science experts.
Shah also praised the Modi government’s New Education Policy for promoting interdisciplinary studies and enhancing the global competitiveness of Indian universities. He affirmed the government’s commitment to develop Forensic Science University as a world-class technical institution.
