Dept of Economics Hosts 2nd P.C. Jain Memorial Lecture at Kurukshetra University

The Department of Economics, in collaboration with KUKAA, organized the 2nd P.C. Jain Memorial Lecture at the Senate Hall, Kurukshetra University today.

During his presidential address, Prof. Madan Mohan Goel, Former Vice Chancellor, emphasized the critical need for coordination among monetary, fiscal, manufacturing, and foreign trade policies to foster the development of Viksit Bharat.

Prof. Ashok Cauhan, Chairperson of the Department of Economics, extended a warm welcome to the attendees and introduced the distinguished guests.

The keynote speaker, Prof. Pammi Dua from the Delhi School of Economics, delivered insights on “Indian Monetary Policy: A Global Perspective,” advocating for leveraging tight monetary policy for a resilient and prosperous future.

Shri Jagdish Mittal, National President of Rastriya Kavi Sangam, graced the occasion as the chief guest, alongside Er Akshay Jain, son of Prof. P.C. Jain, who traveled from the USA with his wife to honor his father’s memory.

Prof. M.M. Goel paid tribute to Prof. Prem Chand Jain Ji, emphasizing the importance of embodying his values.

Prof. Goel also underscored the significance of Gita-based needonomics principles for India’s development towards 2047. Dr. Archana Chaudhary served as the master of ceremony for the event.
