Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prema Khandu, accompanied by his cabinet colleagues, embarked on a significant pilgrimage to the newly-constructed Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Tuesday, where he hailed the temple as a symbol of devotion and resilience spanning centuries.

Receiving a warm reception upon arrival at the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Khandu expressed his gratitude, stating that a delegation of 70 individuals, including cabinet members, legislators, and officers, had traveled to Ayodhya to offer their respects at the Ram temple. Notably, this delegation, led by Khandu, marks the first political visit from a state to Ayodhya following the consecration ceremony, as confirmed by the Uttar Pradesh government.

In a series of social media posts following his visit to the temple, Khandu conveyed his deep emotional connection to the sacred site, emphasizing its significance as the culmination of devotion and sacrifice in honor of Maryada Purushottam Ram. He extended his appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing confidence in the nation’s prosperity under the blessings of Lord Ram.

Furthermore, Khandu emphasized the historic and cultural significance of the occasion, describing it as a spiritual milestone and cultural renaissance. As a gesture of reverence, he presented offerings from the people of Arunachal Pradesh, including a painting of Shri Ram crafted by local artist Shri Gyamar Nanam. The painting, depicting Shri Ram at Parshuram Kund against the backdrop of Gori Chen mountain, encapsulates the divine essence of the deity.

Additionally, Khandu presented traditional offerings such as a Kalash filled with water from Parsuram Kund, a Buddhist prayer bell, and a Sankh, symbolizing the convergence of diverse traditions in reverence to Lord Ram.

Reflecting on the significance of the temple’s completion after centuries of anticipation and challenges, Khandu expressed pride in witnessing the realization of this historic endeavor. He asserted that the completion of the temple heralds the arrival of Ram Rajya, a utopian era symbolizing righteousness and harmony.

Addressing inquiries about constructing a building for Arunachal Pradesh in Ayodhya, Khandu affirmed the state’s intention to establish its presence in the revered city, highlighting the ongoing dialogue with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the matter.

Khandu said, “We have written to Yogi ji (Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath) and will have our structure here.”
