Hyderabad, 5th Feb. The Telangana Cabinet made several decisions during their meeting on Sunday. They have decided to hold the budget session of the Legislative Assembly starting from February 8.
Additionally, they plan to announce two more promises from the ruling Congress party during this session.
State IT Minister D Sridhar Babu announced that the Assembly session will begin with the address of Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan.
The cabinet also made decisions that reflect the desires of the Telangana agitation. They have decided to change the state’s official symbol to remove any traces of monarchy and better represent the people.
The state Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy shared this information. During the meeting, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy presided over the cabinet and made further decisions.
They have chosen ‘Jaya Jaya He Telangana’, a popular song written by poet Ande Sri, as the official song of the state. They have also decided to change the vehicle registration number plates to display ‘TG’ instead of ‘TS’, indicating the name of the state.
Sridhar Babu mentioned that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will announce the implementation of two more promises during the Assembly session.
Out of the six promises made by the Congress party during the elections, the government has already started implementing two of them.
The Cabinet has also approved the government’s decision to conduct a ‘caste census’ in the state, as previously announced.
Additionally, they have decided to revive the state-run Nizam Sugars Factory and establish the Kodangal Area Development Authority, which is the Assembly constituency represented by CM Revanth Reddy.
