Thiruvananthapuram, 30th Jan. The Kerala government on Tuesday agreed to address the financial problems faced by the state in the state assembly. This decision comes after the Congress-led UDF opposition raised concerns about the mismanagement and extravagance of the Left government, which they believe is the cause of the financial problems.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has welcomed the opposition’s adjournment notice, which aims to suspend the scheduled business of the House and discuss the issue. In response, Speaker A N Shamseer has ruled that the House’s scheduled business will be suspended for two hours at 1 pm to allow for this discussion.
The chief minister has agreed to discuss the issue, stating that the government is ready to address it. He also highlighted that the UDF opposition, despite acknowledging the Centre’s neglect towards Kerala as a contributing factor to the financial problems, has never raised the issue in Parliament.
The UDF opposition has consistently blamed the mismanagement and extravagance of the state government for the financial problems in Kerala. They have also acknowledged that the Central government’s policies and neglect of the state are additional factors, but not the sole cause, of these problems.
