Jammu, 28th Jan. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha emphasized the significant role of literary and poetry events in shaping new ideas in society. He announced that the first-ever Dogri kavi sammelan will soon take place in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sinha made this announcement while speaking at the ‘Akhil Bhartiya Kavi Sammelan’ held in Jammu and Kashmir. The event featured popular poets from different states and union territories.
The J&K Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages organized the event to commemorate India’s 75th Republic Day.
In his address, the LG welcomed the poets and highlighted the transformative power of poets, thinkers, and writers in inspiring young minds with dreams, visions, and new perspectives.
Sinha stated, “These events not only bring together literary talent but also celebrate our linguistic and cultural heritage.”
The Kavi Sammelan featured renowned poets such as Upendra Pandey, Dinesh Raghuvanshi, Akhilesh Mishra, Sudeep Bhola, Vishnu Saxena, Rajesh Aggarwal, Shailendra Madhur, Ajay Atpattu, Kalpana Shukla, Satish Vimal, Raj Kumar, and Nirmal Vinod, among others. The poets captivated the audience with their recitations.
