New Delhi, 28th Jan. The 23rd World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) will take place in New Delhi from February 7-9.
This international summit, organized by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), aims to bring together thought leaders, policymakers, and experts from the Global South to discuss environmental sustainability and social equity.
The summit will address global challenges such as conflict, planetary crisis, and setbacks in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Vice President of India is expected to inaugurate the summit, which will feature prominent speakers including ministers from Fiji, Kiribati, and Spain, as well as representatives from the World Bank and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
The theme of the summit is “Leadership for Sustainable Development and Climate Justice,” highlighting the importance of visionary leadership in guiding the world towards sustainability.
In addition to the inaugural and valedictory sessions, the 23rd WSD Summit will include 11 plenary sessions and high-level discussions on women’s leadership, businesses, and youth.
