New Delhi, 27th Jan. Speaking to National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers at Parliament House, Shri Dhankhar praised the female participants in the Republic Day parade for their outstanding performance.
“Every walk of life is dotted by exponential growth, commitment and involvement of girls. Our girls are the qualitative premium component part of our youth power”, said the Vice-President, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar today.

He also said that he was happy that women now have a one-third reservation in the State Legislature and Parliament, calling it a historic move.

The Vice-President called attention to the current ecology in the nation, stating that youth now have a plethora of possibilities to fulfill their potential and that middlemen and corruption have been eradicated. “The autocracy of corruption has been replaced by the meritocracy of Democracy”, he underlined.
Shri Dhankhar encouraged the young volunteers in attendance to be creative, concentrate on research and business, be proud Indians, and always put the country first. He referred to youth as the architects and foot soldiers of the Bharat of 2047.

Among the dignitaries in attendance were Mrs. Meeta Rajivlochan, Secretary of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports; Shri Rajit Punhani, Secretary Rajya Sabha; and Shri Nisith Pramanik, Union Minister of State. Following this conversation, a guided tour of the new Parliament building was provided to all NSS volunteers.
