Snowfall Likely in Himachal Pradesh from January 25

After experiencing a long period of dry weather in January, Himachal Pradesh is expected to receive snowfall starting from Thursday.

According to the local Meteorological office, certain areas in the higher hills of the state are highly likely to receive snowfall on Thursday. Additionally, some areas in both the higher and lower hills may experience snow and rainfall on Friday and Saturday.

The entire state is expected to witness snow and rainfall on Sunday, with thunderstorms occurring in isolated areas.

So far this year, Himachal Pradesh has only received 0.1 mm of precipitation, as reported by the weather office.

On Tuesday, the weather remained mostly dry throughout the state, with dense fog observed in the lower hills and plains.

The minimum temperature in Shimla was recorded at 2.4 degrees Celsius, while Dharamshala, the winter capital, experienced a minimum temperature of 4.4 degrees Celsius.

In Manali, a popular tourist destination, the night temperature dropped to minus 0.7 degrees Celsius, while Kufri recorded 0.1 degrees and Mandi recorded 0.2 degrees.

Kukumseri village in the Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest place in the state, with a minimum temperature of minus 8.1 degrees Celsius.
