New Delhi, 21th Jan. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reports that the nation’s capital saw a minimum temperature of 4.8 degrees Celsius on Sunday, three degrees below the season’s average.
It stated that around 8.30 am, the humidity level was reported at 100%.
The weather forecast for the day was for mostly clear sky and chilly temperatures. It has already warned that from January 22 to 27, there might be a lot of fog in the city. The railways said that fog caused delays of up to four hours for eleven trains that were headed towards Delhi.
In the morning, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) reports that the Air Quality Index (AQI) was 358, falling into the very poor’ category. A score of zero to fifty is regarded as “good,” 51 to one hundred as “satisfactory,” 101 to 200 as “moderate,” 201 to 300 as “poor,” 301 to 400 as “very poor,” and 401 to 500 as “severe.”
