Jammu, 19th Jan. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a high-level meeting on Thursday to evaluate feedback on their outreach programs and develop a new strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
The main focus of the meeting was to create a winning strategy for all five seats in Jammu and Kashmir, including strengthening and securing parliamentary constituencies where the party has faced challenges in the past.
The meeting, led by J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina, included key figures such as party’s national general secretary Tarun Chugh, Seh Prabhari Ashish Sood, national secretary Narinder Singh Raina, Union Minister Jitendra Singh, Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization), and MPs Jugal Kishore Sharma and Ghulam Nabi Khatana, along with other members of the core group and special invitees.
They outlined their determination to surpass their previous performance, especially in Jammu and Udhampur seats, and expressed confidence in winning the Rajouri-Poonch-Anantnag constituency with broad support across society.
The party also strategized for parliamentary elections in Srinagar and Baramulla constituencies, taking into account developments in Kashmir since the 2019 decision, improved security situations, near-normalcy, enhanced safety and quality of life for the people, new opportunities for livelihood, and a significant boost in tourism – which is crucial for Kashmir’s economy.
Chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi stated that it is time for the people of Jammu and Kashmir to move away from the divisive politics of the National Conference (NC), People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and Congress, which have misled and politically exploited the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their own gains.
He urged the people to stand with Modi ji and the BJP and be part of the national development movement. The BJP also announced a meeting of all party branches in the Union Territory on Friday to provide them with strategies and directives for the upcoming LS polls.
