PM to provide first instalment to 1 lakh PMAY (G) recipients under PM-JANMAN

New Delhi, 14th Jan. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will release the first instalment to 1 lakh beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY – G) under Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) on 15th January, 2024 at 12 noon via video conference. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also speak with PM-JANMAN beneficiaries.

On November 15, 2023, on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, PM-JANMAN was introduced for the socioeconomic welfare of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), in keeping with the Prime Minister’s efforts towards the Antyodaya vision of empowering the last person at the last mile.

With a budget of about Rs 24,000 crore, PM-JANMAN focuses on 11 crucial interventions through 9 Ministries with the goal of improving the socioeconomic conditions of the PVTGs by providing electricity, clean water and sanitation, safe housing, better access to healthcare, education, and nutrition, as well as road and telecom connectivity and opportunities for sustainable livelihood.
