Imphal, 12 January. On Friday, Anusuiya Uike, Governor of Manipur, met Post Master Lukhram Radheshyam Singh along with five post office officials at Raj Bhavan and informed about the initiatives taken by India Post for the displaced people living in relief camps in the state.
The team apprised the Governor about the difficulties and inconveniences faced in the delivery of mail at many places in the current situation and informed about their efforts to distribute mail. He said that for those people whose passbooks have been lost or burnt, India Post Payment Bank has started reproducing their passbooks.
The Governor asked him to visit the relief camps and get information about the requirements of India Post for the displaced people, he said, adding that after knowing the requirements of the displaced people, all possible assistance should be provided to them. Those who need the services of India Post should be helped.
