Jammu, 10th Jan.
The Congress party has accused the BJP government of intentionally delaying panchayat elections in Jammu and Kashmir as they are afraid of losing.

The term of the panchayats ended yesterday, and the last elections were held in 2018.

The Congress also claims that this delay has caused the collapse of the Panchayati Raj system in the Union Territory.

The JKPCC spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma, stated that the BJP has purposely postponed the elections due to their fear of defeat.

Additionally, the Congress criticized the BJP government for not providing clarity on the timing of the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Congress believes that by neglecting the panchayat polls, the BJP is disregarding the aspirations and rights of the people.
