New Delhi, 6th Jan. The 7th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Interaction Programme with school students, teachers, and parents, known as Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024, has received an overwhelming response with over 10 million registrations on the MyGov portal. This demonstrates the immense enthusiasm among students across the country who are eager to participate in this unique event and engage with the Prime Minister.
Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) is a special interactive program conceptualized by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. It provides an opportunity for students, parents, and teachers from all over India and even abroad to interact with the Prime Minister and discuss their concerns about exams and life after school. The Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, has successfully organized this event for the past six years.
This year, the program will take place on January 29, 2024, starting at 11 am, in a town-hall format at Bharat Mandapam, ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Approximately 4,000 participants will have the opportunity to interact with the Prime Minister during the program. Two students and a teacher from each state and union territory, as well as winners of the Kala Utsav and Veer Gatha competitions, may be invited as special guests for the main event.
An online multiple-choice question (MCQ) competition is currently live on the MyGov portal from December 11, 2023, to January 12, 2024. Students from classes 6th to 12th, teachers, and parents are encouraged to participate in the contest. As of January 5, 2024, over 9 million students, more than 800,000 teachers, and around 200,000 parents have already registered.
Pariksha Pe Charcha is part of a larger movement called “Exam Warriors,” led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which aims to create a stress-free environment for young people. This movement brings together students, parents, teachers, and society to celebrate and encourage the unique individuality of each child. It is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s groundbreaking and bestselling book, Exam Warriors.
Prior to the main event, a series of activities will be organized at the school level from January 12, 2024, which is Youth Day, to January 23, 2024. These activities will include enjoyable learning activities such as marathon runs, music competitions, meme competitions, street plays, student-anchor-student-guest discussions, and more. On the final day, January 23, 2024, which is the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, a Painting Competition will be held in 500 districts across the country. The topics will revolve around Chandrayan, India’s sporting achievements, and other themes that highlight how exams can be a celebration of life.
Around 2,050 participants will be selected based on their questions on the MyGov portal and will receive a special Pariksha Pe Charcha kit, which includes the Exam Warriors book in Hindi and English, written by the Prime Minister, as well as a certificate.
