Anurag Thakur Urges Youth to Make Sports Part of Their Lives

The Diu Beach Games-2024 is being organized under the guidance of Praful Patel, Administrator of Union Territories of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu and Lakshadweep.

As part of the event, a youth dialogue program was held at Diu’s Malala Auditorium with the theme “My Bharat Mera Yuva Bharat.”

The program, chaired by Union Minister for Information, Broadcasting, and Sports, Anurag Thakur, and attended by Administrator Praful Patel and MP Lalubhai Patel, aimed to engage with the youth.

Anurag Thakur, the Union Cabinet Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Youth Affairs, and Sports, appealed to the youth to contribute to building a strong and prosperous India.

He emphasized the importance of harnessing the energy of the youth for nation-building and achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047.

Recognizing the role of sports in creating a strong nation, the Union Sports Minister highlighted the achievements of Indian athletes at the international level.

Encouraging the youth to embrace sports as a part of their lives, Thakur promoted the slogans of Khelo India, Fit India, and Drug Free India. He urged them to prioritize their health, stay away from drugs, and become physically strong.

He also highlighted the significance of the Diu Beach Games-2024, stating that it will revolutionize the field of sports and contribute to the cultural and tourism development of the union territory.

In his speech, the administrator emphasized that the youth hold the key to the country’s progress and must prioritize their physical and mental well-being.

The Diu Beach Games-2024 aims to promote fitness among the youth and enhance the culture of beach games while boosting the sports talent and tourism potential of the union territory. The event is expected to attract both locals and tourists.

The occasion was attended by public representatives of Diu, senior administrative officers, sportsmen, students, and a large number of youth.
