Ayodhya, 4th Jan. Ayodhya city is undergoing rapid development to become an international religious tourism destination. The consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir, scheduled for January 22, is expected to be attended by several VVIP guests from both India and abroad.
The government is making special arrangements for these VVIP tourists, including the introduction of electric cars to transform Ayodhya into a city with zero carbon emissions.
Currently, 12 electric cars have been deployed to provide a comfortable journey for VVIP tourists. These cars are stationed at Ayodhya Cantt Railway Station, Ayodhya Dham Junction, and Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya to welcome the VVIPs.
These electric cars will be available for all visitors coming to see the Ram Mandir. Electric cars can now be found throughout Ayodhya. The fleet currently consists of 12 cars, which can be booked through a mobile application, according to Dilip Pandey, the local supervisor of the electric car taxi service in Ayodhya.
More cars will be added by January 22 to facilitate visits to religious sites such as Ram Janambhoomi, Suraj Kund, Suryu river, Bharat Kund, and others. The fare for these electric cars starts at 250 rupees for a 10-kilometer journey, 400 rupees for a 20-kilometer journey, and goes up to 3000 rupees for a 12-hour rental, added Dilip Pandey.
In the coming days, additional electric cars will be deployed in Ayodhya for tourists. These cars will be strategically placed at key locations in Ayodhya and will be connected to a mobile app for easy booking. Tourists will be able to conveniently book electric cars through the app.
A trial of electric cars manufactured in India has already begun for passengers arriving at Ayodhya Cantt station. Commuters using these electric cars are encouraged to share their experiences. Passengers arriving at Ayodhya railway station have praised the development of Ayodhya as well as their electric car journeys.
