Jaipur, 2nd Jan.
The Rajasthan medical and health department has extended the service period of 735 doctors working on an urgent temporary basis (UTB) until June 2024.

Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur, Director of Public Health, stated that 357 medical officers, whose service period was originally set to end on December 31, 2023, have been granted a six-month extension.

Similarly, the service period of 378 medical officers, whose original end date was March 31, 2024, has been extended by three months.

According to an official statement, these appointments will remain valid until June 30, 2024, or until regular recruitment provides replacement personnel, whichever comes first.

This decision has been made to ensure the smooth functioning of the healthcare system, especially in light of the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in the state and the emergence of a new variant of COVID-19.
